OUR STORY.
Gochujar was started by Daniel Oh & Katie Ok in 2019.
The duo teaches how to master Korean homecooking through their popular Youtube cooking channel Future Neighbor.
The idea for Gochujar came when the duo sampled artisan-made Doenjang (Korean soybean paste) for the first time.
They were amazed by its quality, taste and its simple ingredients list.
[In contrast to the additives-filled doenjang produced by the larger Korean food brands.]
The artisan stated her desire to reach the global community. But was reluctant due to her limited English and lack of time for learning e-commerce.
Enter Gochujar.
