Organic Korean Perilla Oil, Cold-Pressed

[Green Eat Lab] Organic Cold-Pressed Perilla Oil (Untoasted)

  • 100% Korea-grown perilla
  • Organic-certified
  • Cold-pressed, untoasted
  • 1 ingredient

Perilla oil that is both organic-certified and made from 100% Korea-grown perilla seeds (not imported) is remarkably hard to find. We found one, and we're excited to finally offer it to you on Gochujar!

Made with 100% organically grown Korean perilla seeds, Green Eat Lab's untoasted perilla oil (그린잇랩 국산 유기농 생들기름) captures perilla in its purest form while preserving its naturally high Omega-3 (ALA) content.

Unlike traditional toasted perilla oil, the seeds are never roasted or exposed to added heat. Instead, they are thoroughly washed, slowly air-dried for 48 hours, and cold-pressed just once while the seeds remain whole, to ensure freshness. Green Eat Lab presses, bottles and ships it directly.

The result is a clean, golden oil with a light, delicate perilla flavor, much subtler than toasted perilla oil. No roasting. No added heat. Just pure, freshly pressed perilla oil.

Drizzle it over rice, salads, noodles, tofu, eggs or seasoned vegetables. Mix it with balsamic vinegar or salt for a simple dipping sauce, or enjoy a spoonful on its own, a popular way to enjoy untoasted perilla oil in Korea.

The bottle is finished with a premium drip-resistant cap, keeping every pour clean and effortless.

[Green Eat Lab] Organic Cold-Pressed Perilla Oil (Untoasted)

그린잇랩 국산 유기농 생들기름

Green Eat Lab organic cold-pressed perilla oil with the organic perilla field

Korean organic perilla oil, cold-pressed

Grown in mineral-rich loess soil, this organic first-harvest perilla seed is cold-air-dried for 48 hours and cold-pressed with no heat, to capture only the purest perilla oil.

It's made from 100% Korea-grown, organic-certified perilla seeds and never toasted, to keep as much of its natural Omega-3 (ALA) as possible.

The seeds are carefully washed, air-dried, pressed whole just once, then bottled in light-protective amber glass to help prevent oxidation and keep the oil fresh.

Green Eat Lab organic certification and test reports

Certified organic (No. 12100309)

Green Eat Lab farms perilla itself, so it knows good seeds when it sees them. Through constant contact with its farmers, it sources only top-grade seeds and keeps an ultra-low-temperature process that minimizes nutrient loss, so you can eat with confidence.

The oil is certified organic in Korea.

Perilla seeds being washed by hand, before and after

Washed by hand, again and again

The seeds go through repeated rinsing cycles to preserve their aroma. The right-hand image shows the residue removed.

Perilla seeds air-drying on racks for 48 hours

48 hours of air-drying

After washing, the seeds are slowly air-dried for 48 hours to remove moisture while preserving their natural nutrients and flavor.

Whole perilla seeds going into the cold press

Why only whole perilla seeds?

Green Eat Lab cold-presses whole perilla seeds just once to extract premium-quality oil. To raise the yield, it never presses the seeds twice or uses chemical solvents.

Lab reports showing no benzopyrene detected

Ultra-low-temperature processing, zero benzopyrene

Benzopyrene is a Group 1 carcinogen that can form when perilla seeds are roasted at high temperatures. Over-roasting or burning the seeds for an artificially strong, nutty flavor also makes the oil bitter and dark brown.

Lab tested: benzopyrene not detected.

Green Eat Lab pressing, bottling and packing at its own facility

Never outsourced, shipped fresh the same day

From pressing and bottling to packing, every step happens at Green Eat Lab's own facility for maximum freshness and consistent quality.

Sanitized oil-pressing equipment and bottles

Strict hygiene, zero harmful substances

Every piece of equipment and every bottle is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, keeping production hygienic and the oil free from harmful substances.

Green Eat Lab perilla oil in an amber glass bottle

Light-protective amber glass

Perilla oil oxidizes easily, so it's bottled in thick amber glass that shields it from light, heat and other outside factors, keeping it fresh in storage.

Drip-free cap on the Green Eat Lab perilla oil bottle

A premium drip-free cap

Caring for customers matters as much as the oil itself, so the bottle has a drip-free cap that stops oil running down the sides after each pour.

Green Eat Lab perilla oil in 180 mL and 300 mL bottles

Two sizes, kept cool

It comes in a 180 mL and a 300 mL bottle.

Low-temperature pressed oils are sensitive to heat. Keep it in a cool place away from direct sunlight with the cap tightly closed, refrigerate it after opening, and use it up soon.

In the cold, a little sediment can form. That's perilla fiber, which is good for you: just shake the bottle before use.

Omega-3 content of perilla oil compared with olive oil

Rich in plant-based Omega-3

Perilla oil has 62.10 g of Omega-3 per 100 g; olive oil has 9.7 g.

Perilla oil is naturally rich in plant-based Omega-3 (ALA) and polyphenols, absorbs well, and comes without the marine-contaminant and heavy-metal worries of fish-based sources.

Perilla seeds and perilla oil are not health functional foods. This describes the natural characteristics of the ingredients.

Korean food composition table and news report on Omega-3 in perilla oil

Over 60% alpha-linolenic acid

Perilla oil is over 60% alpha-linolenic acid, an Omega-3 fatty acid: far more than olive oil, which is widely used as a healthy cooking oil.

Green Eat Lab team with organic perilla farmers

Growing conditions matter for organic perilla

Green Eat Lab personally visits organic farms tucked into mountain valleys, stays in close touch with the farmers, and closely manages both growing conditions and quality.

Organic perilla grown in loess soil without pesticides, chemical fertilizers or herbicides

Healthier from the soil up

Perilla grown in loess soil is rich in nutrients, and with no pesticide residue to worry about, it's a safe choice even for sensitive bodies.

No pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, no herbicides.

Organic perilla seeds harvested by hand

Organic farming, absorbing the land's nutrients

Grown through the natural cycles of loess soil, earth and microorganisms, the seeds fully absorb the land's nutrients, giving the raw ingredient a different level of purity.

Grown slowly without growth accelerants, they develop a deeper, more distinctive flavor.

Perilla seed sacks in Green Eat Lab storage

Their own temperature-controlled storage

Third-party storage can bring contamination, mold and other hygiene issues, so freshly harvested seeds go straight from the farm to Green Eat Lab's own storage facility, where they're kept fresh.

Ways to enjoy untoasted perilla oil: salads, by the spoonful, as a dip

How to enjoy it

A clean, nutritious everyday oil that goes with any cuisine. Drizzle it over salads, mix it into dressings, or add it to seasoned vegetable dishes.

With its fresh, nutty flavor, it's smooth enough to enjoy by the spoonful. Try one spoonful a day.

For a dip, mix it with balsamic vinegar or salt and serve with whole-grain bread, eggs, tofu, crackers or vegetable sticks.
