Meet Chung-O Korean Toasted Germinated Sesame Seeds (청오 국산 발아 볶음참깨): 100% Korea-grown, germinated and exceptional in quality.
Most sesame seeds sold in Korean supermarkets are imported in bulk from countries like India and China to keep prices low. Chung-O takes pride in domestic production and organic farming practices. In fact, Chung-O was the first company in Korea to be officially recognized by the government as an organic farm.
What sets these seeds apart is germination. It activates enzymes in the seeds, making the nutrients easier to access and digest, so they carry more vitamins and minerals than regular sesame seeds.
They're packed with nutrients, with a firm, round texture and a delightful nutty flavor. Chung-O washes the seeds three times to remove any impurities, then toasts them at a low temperature to bring out the nutty flavor and keep the nutrition in.
