Handmade, For Banchan Plating
[Kitchen Style] Handmade Banchan Plates (3-Pc Set)
The best part about a Korean meal is always the banchans—those colorful little side dishes that bring balance and variety to the table.
And just as important as the flavors is the presentation. Traditionally, banchans are served on small plates, allowing you to sample many dishes in one meal.
That’s why we love Kitchen Style’s Handmade Banchan Plates.
Each plate is handmade in Yeoju, Korea’s historic pottery town, using the traditional Buncheong technique. Shaped one by one and kiln-fired at high temperatures, they are strong, durable, and built for everyday use.
Finished in a natural gobaekja (ivory-white porcelain) glaze, the surface reveals delicate iron speckles from the clay itself—tiny details that give each plate its own rustic charm. No two are exactly alike.
The plates feature a slight convexed bottom, gently drawing food toward the center for a clean, refined look. The minimalist design highlights the vibrant colors of your dishes, whether it’s kimchi, namul, or even non-Korean small plates.
Beyond beauty, these plates are highly practical:
✅ Microwave safe
✅ Oven safe
✅ Dishwasher safe
✅ Stackable and easy to store
A set includes 3 plates, available in two sizes—small or large—so you can mix and match as needed.
If you enjoy cooking Korean food, a set of banchan plates will quickly become a must-have in your kitchen.

Buncheong Pottery Design
Instead of using artificial glaze colors, this Buncheong pottery preserves the pure, natural white clay tone. Its understated hue blends effortlessly with any dish you serve.
Notice the tiny black specks across the soft white surface—like silver grains shimmering in a gentle stream. These appear naturally during the firing process, as the iron content in the clay reacts to the heat.
It is this unique characteristic of Buncheong pottery that gives it a truly Korean, natural beauty.
