Inspired by Sambe, Traditional Korean Hemp Fabric
[KwangJuyo] Han-Gyeol Series 2-Person Dinnerware Set (12 Pcs)
Where traditional Korean craft meets the art of everyday living.
Inspired by sambe 삼베 — the beloved traditional hemp fabric woven into Korean heritage for centuries — the Hangyeol collection translates nature's most delicate textures into porcelain.
The finely crosshatched grain of each piece mirrors the intimate weave of sambe cloth: tactile, warm, and personal.
Two signature glazes bring the collection to life. Seolbaek (Snow White · 설백) radiates a pure, luminous calm, while Cheongbaek (Blue White · 청백) carries a soft elegance — with a subtle blue tint — that makes every dish look all the more appetizing.
Both hues are designed to let food take center stage, allowing color, texture, and flavor to speak for themselves.
More than tableware, Hangyeol is an invitation to slow down. To set a table with intention. To find beauty in the ritual of a shared meal.
Set includes 12 pieces:
- Rice bowl (11cm) × 2pc
- Soup bowl (13cm) × 2pc
- Sauce dish (8cm) × 2pc
- Chopstick holder × 2pc
- Side dish plate (13cm) × 2pc
- Side dish plate (17cm) × 1pc
- Round serving bowl (22cm) × 1pc
The perfect gift for couples, newlyweds, or anyone building a home worth gathering in.
About KwangJuyo
Founded in 1963, KwangJuyo holds a special place in Korean history as the first company to successfully bring traditional Korean ceramics to the mainstream.
During the Japanese Occupation, Korea's porcelain industry fell into decline — many skilled artisans disbanded and centuries-old craft traditions were at risk of being lost entirely. After Liberation, KwangJuyo's founder, Master Cho Sosu, made it his mission to change that. He sought out the country's finest ceramic artisans and brought them together in Gwangju, where they rebuilt the craft from the ground up and revived the art of traditional Korean porcelain making.
That legacy of craftsmanship continues in every piece made today. KwangJuyo uses its own proprietary clay — a carefully developed blend of premium minerals sourced from across Korea. The clay is aged for several months before use, a deliberate process that prevents cracking during glazing and ensures the durability and quality that the brand is known for.
More than just tableware, every KwangJuyo piece carries over 60 years of heritage, artistry, and a deep respect for Korean ceramic tradition.

[Kwangjuyo] Han-gyeol Series 2-Person Dinnerware Set (12 Pcs)

Han-gyeol (한결)

The delicate colors of Cheongbaek (청백색, cool white) and Seolbaek (설백색, snow white) make food look more vibrant and beautiful, while the gentle texture of sambe adds a quiet elegance to every meal.

Natural Variations in Handcrafted Ceramics
Because these products are handmade, minor variations are completely normal and do not qualify as defects — they are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
General Variation — Color, size, glaze pooling, fine surface lines, and slight unevenness in the base can all occur naturally due to differences in humidity, temperature, and the handcrafting process.
Surface Characteristics — Small air bubbles, raised spots, fine cracks, dark or blue specks, and shiny patches may appear on the surface. These result from the minerals and firing process used to strengthen the ceramic.
Bottom Logo — As the brand logo has been updated, products may carry the old or new version. Slight misalignment of the logo is normal given the texture and glaze of handmade pottery.
