Chili oil is a key ingredient in many spicy Korean dishes like Soondubu (Spicy Tofu Stew), Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Stew) or Spicy Yangnyeom Chicken. A few tablespoons of this chili oil goes a long way - it adds a layer of deep-tasting, piquant spice.

Taeseong Food is operated by Mr. Lee Kwang Bum. Since 1989, he and his family have been growing chili peppers in Chungcheon province. One taste of the oil - and you'll immediately recognize that its made with Korean chili peppers. It's very spicy, while being deep in flavor, with a slight touch of smoky flavor. It's much more flavorful than any store-bought chili oil.

Where are the chili peppers grown?

Taeseong Foods harvests its own chili peppers in Chungcheon-do Province.

The peppers are carefully harvested, washed, dried and ground into chili flakes.

Who is Mr. Kwang Bum Lee?

This is Taeseong Foods' founder, Mr. Kwang Bum Lee - along with his wife. The duo have been harvesting sesame seeds, perilla seeds, and red chili peppers since 1989! They take great pride in their harvests and follow traditional techniques for oil extraction to bring out the deep natural flavor of their seeds.
