Traditional Herbal Medicine Tea
[Ssanghwa Tea Room] Ssanghwa Medicinal Tea
Back in the 80's and early 90's (before the coffee boom), there were many traditional tea rooms in Korea that served Ssanghwa Tea.
Ssanghwa Tea has been used for thousands of years in Korea as a therapeutic beverage. It's believed to bring the body back into a more balanced state of equilibrium - and particularly effective for fatigue, physical weakness or cold sweats. It's still consumed today by Koreans when they feel under the weather or feel a cold coming on.
Ssanghwa Tea Room offers one of Korea's Best Ssangwha Teas. The tea blend is made with a mix of 9 premium Korean medicinal ingredients like Paeony, Cnidium, Huang Qi, Liquorice, Cinnamon, Jujube, Dried Ginger and Rehmannia Root. These ingredients are hand-selected to ensure premium quality and roasted to bring out their natural flavors.
So what does it taste like? It has a strong herbal medicine taste - earthy with cinnamon-jujube tones and a slightly bitter after taste. You'll also taste the sesame seeds and jujubes slices that float at the top of the tea. We highly recommend drizzling a small amount of natural honey to balance out the overall taste.
If you're the type that's always catching a cold when the weather changes - give this medicinal tea a try. The taste will be strong and strange at first, but you'll love the fact that it heats up your body from the inside!
