On-the-Go Breakfast
[Bangyudang] Original & Black Misugaru
Misugaru is a very healthy & nutritious beverage made from a mix of Korean grains.
How is it made? A variety of Korean grains are carefully dried out, then ground into a very fine powder. The powder is then mixed with milk (or water) - to be enjoyed as a shake.
Misugaru shake is very tasty, quick and nutritious - filled with protein, vitamins, calcium, magnesium, folate, and selenium.
The best part of this shake is that it fills you up while being low on calories.
That's why it's famous in Korea as on-the-go breakfast option.
(Plus it's caffeine free!)
This misguaru is masterfully made by Bangyudang - a local seed roaster in Gwangju, Korea with over 40 years of roasting experience!
Their Original Misugaru is made with barley, glutinous brown rice and soybeans.
They also have a Black Misugaru which includes 6 different black grains and beans (details below)
Bangyudang prides itself in using high-quality, locally-grown grains. They roast the grains at just the right temperature to retain the grains' full nutritional value and flavor.
Gochujar Editor Note: This roasted grain powder is sugar-free! Unlike large food conglomerate misuguaru products, this artisan brand has no sugar or sweetener. Just roasted grains. It's up to you - how much sugar (or honey) to add... or to skip it all together.
