[Clean Ttukbaegi] Premium Ttukbaegi Pot

Ttukbaegi is an iconic piece of cookware in Korean home-cooking.

If you’ve been to a Korean BBQ restaurant, you’ve definitely seen it — the dark-brown earthenware pot that arrives at the table bubbling hot. It’s used for dishes like Doenjang Jjigae and Gyeran Jjim (Korean Steamed Eggs), and restaurants love it because it keeps food hot for the entire meal. Clean Ttukbaegi is Korea’s premier Ttukbaegi brand. Their pots have won multiple awards for excellence in design, material quality and durability. There are four key features that set them apart from standard Ttukbaegis:

① 0% Absorption — No more white foam
Most Ttukbaegis develop microscopic pores over time. Dish soap and water get trapped inside, then release during boiling — which is why you sometimes see white foam. Clean Ttukbaegi is made from high-density clay with a 0% absorption rate, preventing liquids from entering the material. The pot stays cleaner and safer with repeated use.

② Made for modern kitchens — Highlight Version for electric stovetops
Traditional Ttukbaegis have a raised circular ridge on the base, designed for gas or open-flame cooking. But on flat electric stovetops, that ridge creates a gap with the stovetop and prevents proper heating. To solve this, Clean Ttukbaegi developed the Highlight Version — lies completely flat on the bottom for fast, even heating on electric or coil stovetops.

• If you use a gas stovetop → select Classic Version
• If you use an electric or coil stovetop → select Highlight Version
⚠️ Neither version works with induction stovetops.

③ Prevents boiling over
With most Ttukbaegis, stews frequently boil over unless watched closely. Clean Ttukbaegi is engineered so heat disperses outward, preventing liquid from spilling even during a strong boil.

④ Superior heat retention
Clean Ttukbaegi stays hot longer than other brands. Independent comparison tests show it maintains serving temperature well beyond the length of a typical meal — ideal for slow eaters and communal dining. If you enjoy cooking Korean stews and soups at home, this pot is truly worth the investment.

Which size should you choose?

Small 2호 (1–2 servings): Best for Gyeran Jjim or for use as an individual serving dish
Large 3호 (3–4 servings): Best all-around size for cooking Korean stews and soups directly in the pot - recommended size
Extra-Large 4호 (4+ servings): Best for stews that have a lot of broth or large ingredients.

If undecided, choose Large — it’s the most versatile for everyday cooking.

Gochujar Note: We’ve purchased our fair share of cheap Ttukbaegis in the past — burn marks form quickly and the pot begins to smoke when heated. After switching to Clean Ttukbaegi, we’ve been using the same one for 6+ years with zero issues.

Happy with purchase!

I splurged for the 3-4 people classic and glad I did because the 1-2 people size was small. Tested boiling without lid and water didn't boil over as stated. Quality seems good. Bought as a gift for someone too. Wish it came with a serving plate though...I would purchase another one if it did.

Best purchase made!

Super satisfied with my purchase. The product description with the key points is what convinced me… I did not hesitate to purchase two Ttukbaegi right away!
I enjoy cooking… I just dislike spending time washing dishes afterwards. So, because cleaning the Ttukbaegi is effortless and quick, I am encouraged to cook with it often.
I highly recommend you buy the large size if you are 2-3 people at the table. I bought 2 because when we are 3-4 people gathered on a weekend, some of us can eat more than others even with plentiful side dishes served.

Clean Ttukbaegi (Highlight 3-4)

Got it since I am an avid collector of cookware that's traditional to the cuisines I enjoy cooking at home. I have been looking for a Ttukbaegi for a while, and happened upon Global gochujar while browsing youtube. My scepticism was not on the quality but on shipping. I do shop online a lot from various ecom sites. Shipping to india is challenge for some reason especially for european sellers... I have had good experience however from asian countries like china japan and hongkong but this was my first attempt from Korea. And I must say that I am absolutely surprised by the entire process. The item was packed well and shipped by Daniel very quickly and he even accommodated my request for packing requirements. I received the item in under 2 weeks from purchase. This by far is one of the smoothest experiences I have had so far while eshopping internationally. Ofcourse the Ttukbaegi is of high quality as mentioned on the website and I am absolutely thrilled to add it to my collection. I would highly recommend Global Gochujar to anyone who is exploring ...

This shows a regular ttukbaegi. When it’s brought to a boil, you’ll often notice white foam forming on the surface. This isn’t from the food — it happens because residual dishwasher soap trapped inside the microscopic pores and cracks of the clay is released during heating.

This is Clean Ttukbaegi™ — engineered for 0% absorption. Thanks to its specially formulated high-density clay, the surface is completely non-porous, meaning liquids cannot seep into or soak through the material.  Nothing is absorbed inside — cleaner, safer, and hygienic.

Why a Typical Ttukbaegi Boils Over...

Traditional ttukbaegi are made from porous clay.

When heated, air trapped inside the microscopic pores expands and rises upward.

This hot air pushes the boiling soup upward — causing vigorous bubbling and boil-over.

12bb.jpg__PID:6b4cde77-d02a-474f-9878-29468227b578

Why Clean Ttukbaegi™ Does Not Boil Over

Clean Ttukbaegi™ is made from a special, patented dense white clay. This material has zero internal air pockets — no empty space inside the clay wall.

Because there is no internal air to escape during heating, the heat moves around the outside of the pot instead of pushing food upward.

As a result: Even during high-heat simmering, the soup stays calm and does not boil over — ideal for clean and stress-free cooking.

Point 3: Boils Faster!
highlight_reason04_02.gif__PID:c9b930b1-3823-46c8-b050-3e43a9fd6e9b

Boils significantly faster than normal Ttukbaegi pots

Clean Ttukbaegi™ reaches boiling point significantly faster than a regular ttukbaegi — 5 minutes 4 seconds vs. 6 minutes 24 seconds.

This faster boil time translates to about 21% savings in gas usage, helping reduce both cooking time and energy costs.

Beyond speed, it also maintains heat exceptionally well. In heat-retention tests taken 10, 20, and 30 minutes after boiling, Clean Ttukbaegi™ consistently showed higher temperatures than a standard ttukbaegi.

Put simply, Clean Ttukbaegi™ boils quicker and stays hotter for longer, making it both more energy-efficient and more practical for everyday cooking.

Point 4: Doesn’t Break Easily!
highlight_reason05_01gif-1.gif__PID:b81c8fed-b36c-4ec0-9c18-5a1cfcf28ce5

Even when bumped against other cookware or dropped from a height, Clean Ttukbaegi™ is extremely resistant to cracking and impact.
