[Sempio] Yangjo Soy Sauce 501

Sempio's 501 Soy Sauce is Korea's #1 Best-Selling Soy Sauce.

Sempio has mastered the art of soy sauce. They have spent 70+ years brewing Soy Sauce in the traditional way. This 501 Soy Sauce is their flagship product. It's a super-premium grade soy sauce, with a Total Nitrogen value of 1.5 (details below). A high TN value indicates a high amount of soybean protein, which translates to deep, rich flavor. Sempio's 501 Soy Sauce has become the go-to soy sauce for Korea.

But do I need a premium soy sauce? Well, Soy Sauce is the most-frequently used ingredient in Korean cooking. If you plan to cook Korean food regularly, then yes, invest into a high-quality sauce!

Best soy sauce!

The go-to soy sauce I use when cooking my Korean recipes. It has a more salter and sweeter flavour than the soy sauce Kikkoman. Also think Kikkoman is a little bit more sour than this. So this is essential to your Korean cooking!

Amazing soy sauce!

Will keep it short: Great soy sauce which outclasses anything brewed locally in Europe! Also I'm loving that it has a different taste than the other high tier soy sauce available on our continent - Kikkoman! So a general rule of thumb: Use this soy sauce for marinades and stir fries! Keep Kikkoman more bitter taste for Sushi!

          What is Total Nitrogen Value?

Total Nitrogen (TN) indicates how much soybean protein is found in the soy sauce. As soybeans ferment, they release protein in the form of nitrogen. The longer the beans ferment, the more nitrogen they produce. A higher TN number indicates higher quality. The grading scale is as follows:

          1%  is average | 1.3% is premium | 1.5 - 1.8% is super-premium
          Sempio's 501 Soy Sauce is 1.5% >> Super Premium
